Red ribbons sported by your friends, family, coworkers and strangers aren’t just to ring in the Yuletide cheer today. December 1st is a day to create awareness, reduce prejudice, raise funds, and increase education for AIDS.
World AIDS Day this year promotes ‘Universal Access and Human Rights’ by
reminding people that the fight against HIV/AIDS continues as the number of adults and children living with HIV and AIDS related deaths climb.
Part of Worlds AIDS Day is to learn about HIV/AIDS prevention and become more educated to overcome HIV/AIDS correlated discrimination. No matter where you are in this world, perhaps you can take a moment out of your day to acknowledge on those you know affected by HIV/AIDS. And if you have a few moments reflect on the 33.3 million people living with HIV/AIDS around the globe.
If you would like to support a good cause: Download ‘Heal Your Love’ and help us raise funds to build a music/drama centre to help improve HIV/AIDS awareness through music and performance.

The latest figures show that there are over 33 million people living with HIV and over half of them will die of AIDS before they are 35 years of age. A staggering 2.3 million children under 15 are infected. Although advances in treatment and prevention have been made I have seen first-hand the destruction caused in Zambia, where every family, if not infected, is affected in some way. It is one the worst nations with one in six adults being HIV positiv. There are 33,000 children infected with HIV and over 700,000 are orphaned as a result of the HIV and AIDS in Zambia pandemic.
